Pre-visualization

Pre-visualization or pre-viz is a growing area of film making. Through the creation of simplified animations, directors can rehearse scene element placement, camera angles, illumination, props and actor interaction, all within a fully computer generated environment.

Having a pre-viz is a time saving tool. It also allows for creative experimentation without the need to actually shoot different takes and without needing to incur actor costs, rent and other necessary expenses unil the final scene has been locked down.
